White house resignation letters.

When writing a resignation letter these are some of the things that you need to keep in mind.

  • The first step is to tell the company about leaving the position and the final work date. Keep it short as the essential part of the letter is the Last Date of your work.
  • Indicate the reason you are leaving your job. It would be best to be polite as you will leave a positive impression on your employer. Maintain your composure when drafting the letter.
  • Finally, thank your colleagues for the position and the opportunities you have enjoyed during your work period.
  • Ensure you proofread your letter before sending it to the company. You can send the letter to your family and friend to check for grammatical errors.

Sample 1: “White house resignation letters”

President Donald J. Trump

The White House

1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW

Washington, DC 20500

Dear Mr. President:

I write to inform you that I will be stepping down from the Federal Election Commission effective

July 3, 2020. It has been my honor to serve this great nation as a Member of the Commission since 2008.

My record at the FEC reflects my strong commitment to the oath I swore upon taking office, to

support and defend the Constitution of the United States. As Commissioner, I fought to protect

Americans’ First Amendment rights to free speech and association, and to administer the laws as written by Congress and interpreted by the courts, rather than as some wished them to be. I fought against unnecessary government regulations and unfair enforcement actions; to promote

transparency and consistency in the FEC’s operations; and to ensure due process in its dealings with the American people. These battles were often hard won, and I am proud of our many accomplishments.

The FEC would benefit greatly from new faces and fresh perspectives. It needs Commissioners

who will respect the First Amendment, understand the limits of the FEC’s jurisdiction, and

remember that Congress established the FEC to prevent single-party control, with every significant decision requiring bipartisan approval. One Commissioner — who has served for more than a decade past the expiration of her term — routinely mischaracterizes disagreements among commissioners about the law as “dysfunction,” rather than a natural consequence of the FEC’s unique structure, misrepresents the jurisdiction of the agency and deliberately enables outside groups to usurp the Commission’s role in litigation and chill protected speech. The American people deserve better.

Thank you for allowing me the privilege to serve.

“The President

The White House

Washington, DC 20500

Dear Mr President:

By this letter, I tender my resignation as Commissioner of the Federal Trade Commission, effective August 1, 2003.

It has been a great privilege to serve on the Commission for nearly 6 years. My colleagues, present and former, including your appointee, Chairman Muris, are individuals of dedication and fairness, who reflect a mutual desire to serve American consumers and protect markets from anti-competitive practices. I am honored to have played a part in these important missions.

Sample 3: “White house resignation letters”

“The President

The White House

Washington, D.C. 20500

Dear Mr President:

It has been my privilege and honor to serve you and this great country for the past three years.   Unfortunately, I have found it extremely difficult to balance the requirements of the office with time for my family.   Consequently, I have concluded that the time has come for me to return to the private sector to allow me to spend more time with them, and I am writing to resign as Assistant Secretary of the Treasury for Tax Policy.   To allow for a smooth transition, Secretary Snow requested that my resignation be effective after the completion of the fiscal year 2005 budget.

Under your leadership, we have taken important steps toward a tax system consistent with our values and our best interests as a nation.   Your principles, your values, and your commitment to doing what is right have resulted in change far beyond the incremental change that too often marks our progress.   I am proud of what we have accomplished over the last three years and pleased to have had the opportunity to play a role in promoting policies that have resulted in economic growth and job creation.   We have also taken important steps over the last three years to restore the confidence of American taxpayers in the tax system, which was shaken by the excesses of the 1990s.   I appreciate the opportunity that I have had to work with the talented staff of the Office of Tax Policy and the Internal Revenue Service to achieve those goals.

May God bless you as you continue to lead our country.

                                                Very truly yours,

                                                            Pamela F. Olson”
