What is the real story of XXXTentacion’s death?

In this brief guide we are going to answer the question ‘’What is the real story of XXXTentacion’s death’’ we will analyze the death of the American rapper XXXTentacion, as well as the main conspiracy theories about his death.

What is the real story of XXXTentacion’s death?

American rapper XXXTentacion (his real name was Jahseh Dwayne Onfroy) died on June 18, 2018 at the age of 20 after being shot several times as he was walking from a motorcycle store to his car in Deerfield Beach, north of Miami, the Broward County Sheriff’s Office has reported.

“The adult male victim is Jahseh Onfroy, 20, also known as rapper XXXTentacion,” the Broward sheriff’s office wrote on Twitter.

XXXTentacion, whose real name was Jahseh Dwayne Onfroy, was transported after the shooting to a medical facility, where he died a short time later. The two suspects in the attack, which occurred around 16.00 (local time), fled in a dark van, according to police, who noted that “it could be a robbery”.

The singer was facing domestic violence charges after being accused of assaulting his pregnant girlfriend, something he had denied. Onfroy presented in 2017 his debut album, 17, and then released the second, titled ?, with which he was number one in his debut on the Billboard 200 all-genre chart, where he also stood out with his singles Sad! and Changes.

The artist began writing music after being released from a juvenile correctional facility and released in 2013 his first song on the audio distribution platform SoundCloud, titled News/Flock. His very dark, muted-sounding music often evoked his depression and criminal past.

His songs had been removed from Spotify playlists as part of the platform’s new policy, which wants to stop highlighting artists who have “done something particularly harmful or hateful.”

5 conspiracy theories about the death of XXXTentacion

As mentioned, Jahseh Dwayne Dwayne Ricardo Onfroy, known by his stage name XXXTentation, died on June 18, 2018 in Miami at the age of 20. It is known that two hooded men shot the rapper who was in his car, taking some of his belongings.

Theory 1: An act of revenge killed XXXTentacion.

This theory links the rapper’s troubles to some possible act of revenge against him. It is known that XXXTentacion was a troubled young man and several times he was in prison, so some pending score settling may have claimed the rapper’s life. Currently there are already 4 people arrested as possible culprits of the murder.

Theory 2: Drake had XXXTentation murdered.

This conspiracy theory links none other than Drake. It all stems from when the Canadian rapper allegedly plagiarized XXXTentation’s track called “Look at Me!” and started the beef between the two of them.

XXXTentation on his Instagram stories posted the following, “If anyone would try to kill me, it would be Drake.” In addition, it is believed that in Drake’s track “I’m Upset,” he makes reference to the rapper’s death. None of this seems sufficient motive.

Theory 3: XXXTentacion faked his death.

Some fans believe that the rapper’s death was faked, since in the images of the crime scene, some think that the tattoos XXXTentation had on his face do not match the one in the photos, so it is believed that he is still alive, and that everything was planned to raise his fame. A case of fans having a hard time accepting the harsh reality. Credibility of the theory: nil.

XXXTentacion’s Posthumous ‘SAD!’ Video

The video for “Sad!” was released in 2018 and quickly trended on YouTube, generating 28 million views in one day.

The six-minute piece shows a taciturn XXXTentacion attending his own funeral in a church, during which the 20-year-old’s body jumps out of the casket and engages in a fistfight with his living alter ego.

As with much of his work, full of raw, dark passages about his suicidal thoughts, in “Sad!” XXXTentacion intercuts scenes of a dialogue with a grim, black-clad character, a cross between Grim Reaper and one of the bad guys from “Star Wars.”

By watching the video, “you are subject to a part of my creative aura and my desires,” the rapper warns the viewer through subtitles from the beginning.

In a sort of biblical passage, he says: “Here is my demand: you will carry love around the world, you will praise and rejoice beside my name and change the overall cycle of energy we are going through.”

The video, which attributes the writing and creative direction to XXXTentacion, generated conspiracy theories on the internet that his death was all an artistic hoax.

However, Florida authorities confirmed his death in the June 18 shooting outside a motorcycle store and made an arrest. XXXTentacion, whose real name was Jahseh Ofrey, was given an open casket funeral by family and fans.
