Sample resignation letter Malaysia 1 month notice

A sample resignation letter Malaysia 1 month notice can be useful for those employees that are considering or have decided to submit a formal resignation.

It is important to check your employment contract and let your employer know when would be your last day of work according to the period notice.

It may vary from one employer to the other, for instance, it could be stipulated you need to give them at least a 30 day notice period or 1-2 weeks’ notice when leaving.

Your resignation doesn’t have to be a long and extensive document, just a simple resignation will be enough.

According to the Malaysian Government, “According to the Malaysian Government, “If an employee wishes to quit his / her job, the employee should refer to the notice of termination clause written in the contract of service that has been signed with the employer. If there is no service contract, the employee may refer to the Employment Act 1955 or seek advice at the nearest branch of the Department of Labour.”

Adele Cochrane fromTraining.com.au states how the resignation letter should (basically) include:

  • A statement of intent to resign.
  • Your official job title.
  • The date of your last day of work.
  • A reason for your resignation.
  • An expression of appreciation for the opportunity.
  • An offer to help with the transition.
