Sample resignation letter Doc

A sample resignation letter in a DOC document or PDF format is useful when you need to write your resignation letter to your current job.

It doesn’t really matter if you work in construction, education, hospital, or if you are a physician or a manager.

There is a standard or basic format you can follow to write your resignation letter:

  • Keep it brief and straight to the point. Begin your letter with a greeting using the recipient’s name.
  • Include only highlights and positive comments. In the body of your letter, state your intention to resign and include briefly the reason for quitting. 
  • Include your notice period of at least 2 weeks. However, inform yourself about the notice period of your employment contract.
  • Thank your employer for the opportunity.
  • Offer help during the transition (e.g. Training your replacement).
  • Close and sign your letter.
