Sample of resignation letter one month notice
A sample of resignation letter one month notice can become quite handy when you have already talked to your manager about your intention to leave and you want to submit your written notice.
You may be leaving due to personal reasons, having found a new job or family reasons so giving your employer 30 days or 1-month notice can give them plenty to time to find a suitable replacement.
However, consider your employer can decide an ‘early release’ and shorten your notice period to 2 weeks, 7 days, or even 72 hours.
Here is what to include and not to include in your letter:
- Clearly state the last day you will work for your employer including your notice period.
- Keep it brief and simple. There is no need to write a long letter or include too many details.
- Express gratitude by being thankful for the opportunity for the time you have spent working dor the company.
- Offer assistance within the transition period such as helping train your replacement.
- Ask any questions that you may have.
- Provide your updated contact information in case they may need to contact you.
- Avoid being negative or talking about colleagues or your boss, especially if you want to keep a good relationship.
