Sample kind resignation letter

If you want to quit your job, a sample of a kind resignation letter would be the best option.

As an employee of a certain company, you may have had good and bad experiences but if you want to write a formal resignation letter that screams how professional you are despite the negative experiences, leaving on good terms with your soon to be ex-employer.

You don’t have to write a long and complicated resignation letter. With a simple resignation will suffice.

Here are some tips about what your letter should contain:

  • The basics such as your position, the date and your last day of employment considering the notice period (check your companies policies on this subject).
  • Thank your employer for the opportunity given and describe some things you have enjoyed from working for them (optional). Keep it brief, professional and positive.
  • The hand-off. State your willingness to help during the transition, for instance, training your replacement or simply offering them you are committed to help.

“Dear Mr. Don Cohen,

Please accept this letter as formal notification that I am resigning from my position as Account Executive with Marketing Media. My last day will be Thursday, March 2.

Thank you so much for the opportunity to work in this position for the past six years. I’ve greatly enjoyed and appreciated the opportunities I’ve had to grow our sales team and pipeline, be a part of creating a great product, and work with my fellow colleagues, and I’ve learned so much about marketing strategy and the digital media space, which I will certainly take with me throughout my career.

I’ll do everything possible to wrap up my duties and train other team members over the next two weeks. Please let me know if there’s anything else I can do to help during this transition.

I wish the company continued success, and I hope to stay in touch in the future.

Sincerely,

Anne Acharya”
