Resignation letter sample Kuwait

A resignation letter sample in Kuwait is very useful if you are considering or you have decided already to quit your job and are not sure what a resignation letter should include or what to write.

According to naukrigulf.com, “Those working in Dubai or other Emirates must be aware that serving a notice period is required under the UAE labor law, hence writing a resignation mail is quite important. Moreover, a well-written professional resignation letter can help you end things on good terms with your employer.”

Here are the resignation format key points that you need to consider including in your letter:

  • Your full name
  • Your email address
  • Contact details
  • The date when you are writing your letter
  • The recipient details (full name and designation)
  • Name of your company
  • Address of the company

In addition, let’s take a look more in-depth at the format:

  • Use a friendly and formal opening: you can begin your letter by saying “Dear…” followed by the name of the recipient.
  • Clearly state your intention to leave. You could include briefly the reason why you are resigning (i.e. employment abroad, career change, emergency situation, etc.)
  • Consider the notice period: give your employer enough time for them to find a replacement. It is recommended to give at least 2 weeks’ notice.
  • Offer assistance in the transition process and follow-through. If you state you will be willing to help make sure you are able to.
  • Be grateful for the opportunity. This will let you leave on good terms and increase your chance to get a good recommendation letter.
  • Warm closing such as “warmly” or “Kind Regards” and signature.
