Resignation letter due to company relocation (Samples)

In this brief blog post, we will provide examples of a resignation letter due to company relocation.

Resignation letter due to company relocation

A resignation letter due to company relocation is considered one of the most common resignation letters.

One of the reasons for company relocation is being assigned to a different department or a different city within the same department or job role.

In addition, this will actually inform the company you are leaving your current role and starting a new one elsewhere, so they can start finding a replacement.

This is in most cases required when you either have to resign or be transferred to a new location if your company has a branch there.

However, you are free to disclose or not the reason why you are quitting.

This type of resignation due to company relocation seems to be one of the most natural that you won’t actually feel guilty about it.

Leaving your current position is not due to problems in your current job role or any additional personal issues but relocating to a new place or department.

It is recommended to express your openness to being contacted for a new job within your company and expressing gratitude for the time you were working in your current position.

Dear Sir/Madam,

RE: RESIGNATION LETTER

Thank you so much for offering me this job. I have enjoyed every bit of my time in this company. I have learned many lessons, and I believe I am a better employee than I joined this firm. However, unfortunately, I have to leave this firm. I am relocating with my family to Chicago and so being part of this firm is not an option.

I am planning to report on 4TH Dec as the last day. During the two weeks that I shall be here, I promise to train my team members, update my files, and do any other responsibility you will request me to do. I desire that the company gets a smooth transition as I leave.

Feel free to engage me in any way for the two weeks and even after I have left. I have updated my details in my files. If there be an opportunity in Chicago, do not hesitate to offer me the chance. I appreciate you for the privileges that you have accorded me during my stay here.

Thank you

Sincerely Rollan”
