Lion King Quotes (149+)

In this blog post, we’ve compiled a list of some of the best-known Lion King quotes that offer you something to take away.

The Lion King resonates with most of us.

This Disney animated feature follows the adventures of the young lion Simba, the heir of his father, Mufasa. Simba has an uncle called Scar.

Scar Lures Mufasa’s and son into a stampede of wildebeests. But Simba escapes, and only Mufasa is killed.

Scar wanted to take the throne. Simba returns when he is older and wiser to take back his homeland from Scar.

Throughout his Journey, you are taught many valuable lessons.

The Lion King Plot

The mighty lion Mufasa, the savannah’s king, is celebrating the birth of his heir Simba with his wife Sarabi.

The shaman baboon Rafiki shows him to the varied crowd of animals that rejoices at the foot of the throne, a high cliff.

However, the evil and jealous Scar, Mufasa’s brother, plots to kill his brother and his nephew in order to accede to the throne with the help of the hyenas.

Simba runs away after escaping to a series of accidents caused by the mean uncle, including being falsely accused of Mufasa’s death.

Left alone, the lion cub is adopted by Timon and Pumbaa, a meerkat and a warthog.

They encourage him to live by the philosophy of “Hakuna Matata”, the local motto that means ‘without worries’.

Time passes by and Simba grows up, forgetting about his social class.

His childhood friend Nala – escaped from the devastating situation of her pride, with Scar and the hyenas that dominate the savannah – and Rafiki – that makes the shadow of Mufasa appear to encourage Simba to fight – convince the young heir of the throne to go back to his homeland.

In this way, he can reestablish the harmony and the beauty of the past in the savannah.

Whether you’re a fan of the all-star remake or not, the 1994 classic continues to have a hold over our hearts.

There are lessons to be learned – by both kids and adults! – about love, leadership, and friendship throughout the heartwarming film.
