Hence we can conclude that youth leadership is the process by which kids develop themselves. Leadership holds great importance.

1. Create a New You

Create a new you is a very interesting activity specifically designed for kids.

For this activity, kids are provided with some art and craft material such as cartoons, paints, cardboard/ poster paper, magazines, and scissors.

Then the kids are directed to draw an image of themselves by using the things that would help people identify that this is a picture represent them.

This could be done by cutting out and pasting their favorite outfits, food items, pets anything that would make them unique.

After the completion of this task, students are asked to show their posters to everyone.

This activity helps boost up the confidence level of children.

2. ‘Same or Different’

Same or different is another interesting activity that helps kids improve their observation skills.

For this activity, all the kids are asked to sit in a circle.

After this, one of the children is asked to point out a kid that looks similar to him either due to the same hairstyle, outfit, or any other similar characteristic.

Once the kid has done this task, he is asked to mention the similarities and differences between him and the kid he has selected.

The other kids have to do the same when their turn comes.

3. The Listener

For this activity, the whole room is divided into a number of pairs.

The kids are also arranged in the form of pairs among which one is the listener, and the other is the talker.

The kids have to get seated anywhere in the whole room.

The talker will keep talking about anything regarding his age, personality, likes, or dislikes anything general, while the listener is supposed to listen to what the talker is saying and note it down carefully.

Once they are done, call the listeners and ask them to tell whatever they had heard their talker member saying.

The longer the list of the listener, the better listener he is. This activity is very effective in enhancing the listening skills of kids.

After they are done, the listener and talker have to change their roles and do the same activity again.

4. Direct the Egg

For this activity, the kids are divided into two groups and each of them is given one egg.

The kids are supposed to take this egg from one corner of the classroom to the other in a creative way.

The kids can simply take this egg to the endpoint but they must be encouraged to adopt new and creative ways of doing this task, provided that the way they adopt must not be harmful to them.

Each group is allowed to make their leader who guides them to complete this task.

Examine the ways in which both groups perform this activity and take the egg from one corner of the classroom to the other.

Notice how many members are involved in this activity and whether all the participants are taking part or helping to achieve their goal or not.

This activity is very effective and interesting for developing leadership skills in kids.

All the participants will be given a chance to act as a guide and as been guided.

After this, individuals will be asked about their favorite role and why they liked this role.

This game teachers trust, interdependence, teamwork, and effective communication skills to teens.

After this, they have to reach out to the nearest hand, without looking whose hand it is.

In the same way, they have to hold another hand with their other hand. As a result of this, all the hands will be tangled.

The group members are supposed to detangle themselves with proper planning and effective communication with each other.

Once they have detangled themselves and arranged back in the form of a circle, the challenge is completed.
