I miss my dad (What to do)
In this brief blog, we are going to discuss the statement “ I miss my dad”, what to do if you are missing your dad and where to seek help if you become depressed or lonely.
I miss my dad
You may be missing your dad because you are now in boarding school or maybe you are missing your dad because she has briefly travelled.
It could also be that you are missing your dad because your parents are now divorced and you are in your mum’s custody and under her care.
It may also be that you miss your dad because your dad has sadly passed away.
Whatever your reasons are for missing your dad you should try and do your best to address how you are feeling with some actions.
Do not let yourself fall into depression, a state of constant sadness or loneliness.
This could heavily affect your physical, emotional and mental well being and cause you to fall into a state of disrepair.
How do I cope with my dad’s expiration?
There are various ways you may be able to cope with your dad’s expiration, we have listed a few of them below.
Ask a therapist: How do I deal with my dad’s expiration?
Talk about him with other people who are grieving the loss.
Allow your body to experience the full range of emotions associated with the loss of your dad
Write about your dad, the lovely things he did, the man he was and why you miss him.
Get bereavement counselling which could help you feel much better..
Finally, know that there is no “right” amount of time to grieve the loss.
What to do if you are missing your dad?
If you are missing your dad you should look to do something about it.
If your dad is alive
If your dad is alive then you should contact your dad and let he know how you feel about he.
Maybe you could call your dad, send your dad a sweet letter or even plan a visit with your dad.
Expressing yourselves to the people you love is one of the best things you can do to ensure you are always being true to yourself and ensuring the people you care about know that you care about them.
If your dad has passed
If your dad has sadly passed away then I understand how difficult it could be to come to terms with he expiration and missing your dad is an obvious feeling any child will have if they lose their dad.
The sad part about life is that at some point each and every one of us will have to die.
Speak to your friends and family about how you are feeling. They may recommend things to do for you to come to terms with the loss.
This could be visiting the gravesite whee your dad was buried or other things such as dedicating a good cause to our dad.
Seek counselling
Counselling can be a very good way to get help for very difficult issues such as expiration. If you find that you’re still struggling to deal with the expiration of your dad then bereavement counselling or any othe appropriate counselling may be good for you
Don’t worry if you don’t know what type of counselling you need, this isn’t relevant at the dadent.
The counsellor will speak to you for an initial assessment and will be able to know what sort of help you may need.
