The Channel “I Hate Everything”

I Hate Everything (IHE), is a YouTube channel created by Alex Beltman (March 15, 1994), a New Zealand-born British commentary, who specializes in critiques of various digital media and productions, including video games, films, and TV shows, and many other aspects of contemporary pop and internet culture.

Alex Beltman is best known for his “I Hate” series, where he mixes hyperbole and his own opinions to deliver comedic social commentary.

He posts three types of videos on the channel:

  • “I Hate” – here he talks about things he does not like or what makes him angry, managing to avoid yelling in his videos and expressing his point of view calmly.
  • “Comment Comeback” – Beltman highlights the more interesting comments written under his videos.
  • “The Search for the Worst” – Time by the time Alex Beltman reviews a video from the bottom 100 on IMDB searching for the worst movie.

“I Hate Everything”: The history of the channel.

The channel “I hate everything” was created on August 23, 2013. The first video uploaded there is about the fans of the YouTuber PewDiePie, and it got 370,000 views and 18,000 likes as of November 2015.

The most popular videos of IHE are about Minions and the “Do not Judge Me” Challenge as of November 2015.

The lowest rated movie on his list is “The Amazing Bulk” (2013).

After the publication of the review of “Cool Cat Saves the Kids,” Derek Savage, who created the children’s anti-bullying movie, filed a lawsuit claim against “I hate everything” (IHE).

Following the publication of his review of Cool Cat Saves the Kids in early November 2015, Derek Savage, the creator of the children’s anti-bullying movie, filed a copyright infringement claim against IHE’s videos along with two other review videos from other YouTube accounts.

After tweets by Savage’s purported Cool Cat Twitter account began circulating online, IHE posted a follow-up video to address the tweets and criticize what he perceived as arbitrary aspects of the copyright enforcement process, for instance, why the review of the same film by his peer critic YourMovieSucks remained untouched.

Bolton received support from fellow YouTube critics, such as YourMovieSucks and Caddicarus, as well as his fans.

“I Hate Everything” Channel’s Suspension

On January 19, 2016, Alex Beltman uploaded a video to JAR Media (his second channel), and explained that his main channel had been suspended.

At the end of the video, he asked IHE fans to complain about YouTube about the suspension using the hashtag #FREEIHE. Some popular YouTubers, such as JonTron and h3h3 Productions, supported with the hashtag too.

On the next day, the channel “I hate everything” was reinstated.

                                                                                 ― Martin Luther King

“This life is what you make it. No matter what, you are going to mess up sometimes, it is a universal truth. However, the good part is you get to decide how you are going to mess it up. Girls will be your friends – they will act like it. However, remember, some come, some go. The ones that stay with you through everything – they are your true best friends. Do not let go of them. Also remember, sisters, make the best friends in the world. As for lovers, well, they will come and go too. Moreover, baby, I hate to say it, most of them – actually pretty much all of them are going to break your heart, but you cannot give up because if you give up, you will never find your soulmate. You will never find that half who makes you whole, and that goes for everything. Just because you fail once, does not mean you are going to fail at everything. Keep trying, hold on, and always, always, always believe in yourself, because if you do not, then who will, sweetie? So keep your head high, keep your chin up, and most importantly, keep smiling, because life is a beautiful thing and there is so much to smile about.”

                                                                                                 ― Marilyn Monroe
