Have you ever felt like you’re good for nothing? That you have negative energy that starts from the mind and descends to the depths of your soul?
Maybe you don’t consider yourself a good enough mother, lover or just a person?
Maybe you don’t give your children as much time and as much attention as you would like or you don’t earn as much money as you would like?
Or maybe you don’t have the strength to keep the house and the sink clean of dirty dishes all the time, and because of this, you feel that everything is far beyond your power?
Me too, along with a lot of girls or women in this world felt that “I am worthless”.
I felt pressure, I received judgments or opinions and advice that I did not ask for, I faced feelings of despair, anger, frustration, loneliness, misunderstanding, helplessness.
I came face to face with depression, I cried, I suffered, I judged myself and then I came to the conclusion that it is ok.
Yes, it is ok to have such moments, life is not perfect, people are not perfect.
It’s absolutely ok to have moments of downfall, even if on TV, in magazines or on Facebook it seems that so many people lead carefree lives, maybe even ideals.
On Facebook no one writes their worries and upsets, no one writes that last month a loan was needed to pay the bills, no one writes that before they became financially successful people it was needed as in many evenings to eat only french fries, empty bread or nothing at all.
No one admits that before reaching the present relationship full of love and understanding, it was necessary to go through failed relationships (no matter their number), broken or simple marriages, but such complex heartbreaks.
It’s okay, you’re not alone. You don’t have to constantly strive to please those around you, you don’t have to live up to anyone’s expectations and demands.
You’re perfect like that, no matter what others tell you. You are a good person, a good daughter, a good girlfriend, a good wife, a good mother.
But you must know this in your soul, in your mind.
You have to be aware and really believe this, without comparing yourself to the other people you know.
Everyone fights a battle they don’t talk about and, at the same time, appearances matter to everyone, which is why so many people display the happiest and most fulfilled life, while behind these appearances is only mistrust, sadness, shame or the ego.
Imperfections make you perfect, just as a messy house is perfect when it is loaded with feelings of harmony and love, just as food tastes delicious and perfect, even if it doesn’t look like in the cookbooks.
It’s okay to feel down for a while, but the most important thing is to get up from there.
You do not solve anything if you say bad words to yourself; if you suffer and cry unconsciously; if you cause yourself mental or physical pain because you are not as others want you to be.
Always, but absolutely always you have to be exactly as YOU want to be! Enjoy every beautiful moment without thinking about what others think.
Celebrate your successes no matter how small and don’t pay too much attention to the situations in which you failed.
Every challenge comes in order to teach you an essential lesson, every failure comes in order to make you better, more combative, more persevering.
Have you ever felt like you’re good for nothing?
Me too, and it won’t be the last time. You will have days, weeks, maybe even months when you will not be the best version of yourself.
It is important to lend a helping hand to yourself, not to wait for others to save you.
The most important and significant help will always be the one coming from you because you are the most important person in your life and no one knows you as you know yourself.
You are the one who loves you the most in this world, even if at this moment you may not believe and feel it, but it is true.
Although those around you and society have made you forget this truth and, frankly, you are partly to blame, because you let others dictate to you how to be and live your life.
But stop. Listen, for only you know what is best for you.
Give yourself the acceptance, understanding and love you have always expected from others, be patient and dare to know yourself.
Put yourself first in your life and everything will change for the better around you.
I recommend you to take a break. A break from the hustle, from outside expectations.
Leave the dishes in the sink, leave the dirty clothes in the laundry basket and get out of the routine.
Dress as you please and go to the movies, take a bubble bath, eat a whole box of ice cream yourself, read your favourite book or take a long walk in the park.
Take a break, you deserve it. Your mental health is far, far more important than the clothes you are supposed to wash urgently or than the sink full of dishes.
Your mental health is more important than anything the world says, so do what you feel, do what pleases you on the inside!
Dare to be you, the authentic one, the original one, the one who could have been from the beginning if you hadn’t let the exterior change your interior.

Often, the belief that you are not good enough comes from the family. Since childhood, you have probably heard that X got better grades than you, that Y is better and that Z is a chess champion.
And you – what achievements do you have?
Maybe you had the misfortune of not having a united, loving family, and that may make you think that you were not good enough for a blessing.
But your past and your family doesn’t have to decide the course of your whole life.
- The environment
Here we talk about bullying. Exclusion from the community, from the social circle, can cause a feeling of inferiority.
In addition, those who do these things have their own frustrations and the opinion that they are not good enough, and this is their way of expressing their feelings of inferiority.
- Unpleasant experiences
Rejection from friends or failed relationships can lead to low self-esteem and lack of self-confidence.
We want to be accepted and loved, and when that doesn’t happen, moreover, it repeats itself, it makes us feel worthless or you feel empty.
- Society standards reflected in the media
You are not good enough because you are not skinny enough, tall enough or rich enough.
If we followed the media, we would have no chance at a happy life. But is that really the case?

- “I am grateful for all that life has given me so far.” Gratitude is a powerful tool in life; far too often we forget to be grateful for everything we have in life.
- “I am not defined by anyone else.” It is easy to get lost when we try to focus on what those around us are doing or are doing. You are unique and special, never forget that.
- “My past does not define me.” We all make mistakes in the past. Bad things happen, but we must not allow them to ruin our lives.
- “The future will be fixed as I decide it will be.” You are not stuck in your life. The future has not been written for you yet, you can do whatever you want with it.
- “I’m good enough.” Maybe life is trying to put you down, but that doesn’t mean you have to allow it. You’re good enough, move on.
- “In my heart, I know that I can do everything I set out to do.” Follow your dreams, fight for everything you want.
- “I’m not perfect, but I like who I am.” No one is perfect, and that is a good thing. If we were perfect, we would all be exactly the same.
- “Just because I’m around negative people doesn’t mean I have to be a negative person.” Remember that you are not defined by the people around you in any way.
- “I have everything I need and I am grateful for what I have.” Even when it’s hard for you to move on, find reasons to be grateful for everything you have.
