OptimistMinds is not a “covered entity” under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA). Some organisations which use our site may be covered entities that must comply with the HIPAA privacy and security regulations.

We do our utmost to secure personal information and comply with all legal requirements for protected health information.

Including but not limited to:

• Requiring employees to participate in HIPAA training courses
• Not using or disclosing personal information
• Create the infrastructure to prevent the unauthorized use or disclosure of information
• Immediately disclose any unauthorised use or disclosure of information by staff of subcontractors
• Comply with all security requirements of HIPAA where reasonably practicable and within our control.
