25 Amazing ESFP Anime characters (A review)
In this blog post, we will present to you 15 amazing ESFP anime characters. But before that, we will briefly describe the ESFP personality type.
The ESFP personality type
It is very pleasant to be in the company of an ESFP person. These are people who live the moment and know how to value every moment at its true value. They are naturally warm and open to relationships with others, liking them to make others happy.
They are generous, wide-hearted. They are honest, direct, and their affection is simple but sincere. They don’t like theory and complexity. They cannot form relationships that require them to be very intuitive or too thoughtful.
They like transparent things, easy to understand, even if their feelings are deep. Their general tendency is to live for the time being and that is why they are sometimes unaware of the direction of their relationship, being easily distracted from certain commitments and promises.
ESFPs are people who give special importance to their love relationship, just as they perceive life in general. They like to be in love, they try to do everything possible from every moment. They do not feel very comfortable thinking about the future because they see life, not in plans but a series of days, one by one.
For this reason, they are not people to guarantee a long-term relationship. They can commit to day-to-day promises, but they can’t promise anything about plans.
ESFPs are enthusiastic and effervescent. They are usually sociable, popular, gathering people around them. They like to have fun and have people around. They are valued for the way they know how to create an atmosphere when they are with friends.
They are very focused on the five senses and that is why it can be exaggerated with food, alcohol or drugs. They get along well with all people, although they are not interested in spending time with those who seem boring or who are waiting to communicate with them in an intuitive or too abstract way.
Once you’ve gone through the anime characters list below, you can also take a look at ISFP anime characters. This will help you in understanding these personality types better.

Kuwabara’s strong personality made him one of the most explored characters in the anime.
Kuwabara is very confident and proud, and his actions are always taken by his feelings or his honour, and he doesn’t fight girls. Even though he has a frightening appearance, Kuwabara shows that he likes his kitten Eikichi and did not have his love returned by Botan, as shown at the beginning of the anime.
Kuwabara has a good heart, as shown in one of the anime episodes, where he helps one of his friends who is about to lose his job, because of fights and extremely low grades.

He doesn’t have much of a sense of humour and gets angry easily, but he can always be counted on to save the planet Mobius. Knuckles was originally the “dark” character in the series: a direct rival to Sonic with hidden powers, a mysterious past, and a cold personality.
Although he may be smart and knows Angel Island like the back of his hand, Knuckles can easily be fooled by his naive and gullible nature. Being isolated from the outside world, he grew up believing in the honesty and was unprepared for the manipulation and deceptive nature of Dr Eggman.
Brook
Brook was the guardian of an ancient kingdom in West Blue, which is why he is also a swordsman. However, for now, it is unknown why he left this kingdom.

ESFP Anime Characters Haikyuu!!
Here are some of the best ESFP anime characters from Haikyuu!!:
- Shoyo Hinata
- Bokuto Koutarou
- Haiba Lev
- Hoshiumi Kourai
- Inuoka Sou
- Kamomedai High
- Koganegawa Kanji
- Natsu Hinata
- Nishinoya Yuu
- Shirofuku Yukie
- Towada Yoshiki
- Yamamoto Taketora
Out of these Haikyuu!! Characters, Nishinoya is one of the best and most fitting ESFP anime characters because of his classic traits that personify an ESFP personality.
This ESFP anime character from Haikyuu is very fun to watch and usually makes for a very interesting and entertaining figure, due to traits like his loud and eccentric exterior.
However, despite his fun and somewhat shallow seeming outer part, he actually has a rather soft and defensive interior, and this is one of the reasons why most people agree that this ESFP anime character from Haikyuu seems to display all the traits of the Entertainer.
Nishimoya is a libero, and therefore he is meant to protect his team, but while he does that well enough, he also has a deep desire to make those around him happy, and he loves to make people around him laugh, which is another feature that may often be seen in many ESFP personalities, and this feature is also a big reason of why these personalities are known as the entertainer.
Furthermore, this ESFP anime character from haikyuu!! Is also categorised as such because of his typically and wonderfully goofy and loud personality, which are also traits often seen in ESFPs, because they are some of the most extroverted people in the MBTI.
Lastly, as is true of just about any ESFP that lights up the world around them by just being in it, this ESFP anime character from Haikyuu always makes things interesting and the show is never boring when he’s around, and this may often be in large part due to his energetic personality that feels like it takes over every scene he’s in.
ESFP Anime Characters BNHA
Here is a list of all the ESFP anime characters from BNHA, or Boku no Hero Academia:
- Bibimi Kenranzaki
- Captain Celebrity (Christopher Skyline)
- Crust
- Deidoro Sakaki
- Eijirou Kirishima (Red Riot)
- Fat Gum (Taishiro Toyomitsu)
- Kazuho Haneyama (Pop☆Step)
- Mina Ashido (Pinky)
- Minoru Mineta (Grape Juice)

- Pixie Bob (Ryuko Tsuchikawa)
- Present Mic (Hizashi Yamada)
- Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu (Real Steel)
- Toru Hagakure (Invisible Girl)
- Yuga Aoyama (Can’t Stop Twinkling)
While there are clearly many ESFP anime characters on BNHA, one of the key ones is Christopher Skyline, or Captain Celebrity, and if the name itself doesn’t scream ESFP to you, here are many of the other features that make this BNHA character a typical ESFP.
To start with, this ESFP anime character from BNHA practically is a stereotypical American jock, which his arrogant and self confident attitude shows very well, and often he seems to have an overwhelming love of attention and praise.
Of course, this does not mean that all ESFPs are like that, and obviously not all of them are hungry for attention all the time, but it’d be foolish to think that they don’t revel in it, just like this ESFP anime character from BNHA does.
He also tends to show off for the cameras, even during a crisis, and this can be so intense that he can be reluctant to deploy before his media team is in place, which may also be seen in many ESFP entertainer personalities who like doing things with an audience.
However, at the same time, most ESFPs will be described in great terms by their friends and loved ones, which is seen in how this ESFP anime character’s wife described him as ‘too kind’, and it has often been seen that his constant showing off and attention seeking personality are in part due to a honest desire to make people smile and win their affection, which is something that tends to be quite important to this personality type, and sometimes that is what rubs people the wrong way.
Like most ESFPs, this ESFP anime character from BNHA is never malicious and tends to be truly heroic in a crisis, but he also seems to have very poor judgement of character, and his lack of tact and authenticity often leads him to seeming superficial and false, which is a trait many ESFP personalities may often get accused of.
With the nickname “Flying Stallion”, he can also be a well-known playboy and a flirt, even though he is married and his flirtatious attitude has also led to several lawsuits, and these lawsuits even got to a point that his ex-wife Pamela has pretty much made a business with it.
ESFP Anime Characters Kakegurui
There are two ESFP anime characters on Kakegurui: Midari Ikishima and Yukimi Togakushi, and both of them show some classic ESFP personality traits.
To begin with, the ESFP anime character Yukimi from kakegurui tends to be very clumsy and this is seen in many incidents, like when she fell over when Mary and Tsuzura wanted to gamble in her den.
In addition, this ESFp anime character is generally very friendly, but she can’t keep her cool and gets stressed and angry quickly, which shows the volatile emotionality of the typical ESFP personality.
Furthermore, this ESFP anime character from Kakegurui is also a little short tempered and has trouble regulating her emotions, which is seen in how quickly she tends to lose her composure when she is nervous.
She is also helpful and diligent, and cares a lot about her club, and even though she seems ditzy and clumsy or emotional very often, she is quite a smart and knowledgeable girl, which is why this Kakegurui character makes for a good ESFP anime character.
ESFP Anime Characters AOT
Here is a list of all the ESFP anime characters from AOT, or Attack on Titan:
- Connie Springer
- Floch Forster
- Gabi Braun
- Hannes
- Hitch Dreyse
- Isabel Magnolia
- Sasha Brouse
- Wald
One of the best ESFP anime characters on AOT, or Attack on Titan, is Connie Springer, who can be described as outgoing and impetuous, two adjectives that are frequently used to describe the ESFP personality, which is why they are some of the most extroverted people in the MBTI.
This ESFP anime character from AOT always seems to have an easy time expressing his opinions, and he also enjoys flaunting his skills, especially during his days as a trainee. Which shows the typical ESFP attention seeking tendency that most people tend to associate with these personality types.
Like many other characters on the show AOT, he is in the military, but despite that, Connie starts off as rather unfocused, and tends to enjoy goofing around and messing with his friends, and he can also be a bit dense at times.
However, as many ESFPs tend to grow up after some time and get down to business, this ESFP anime character from AOT does too, and it is seen that Connie’s naive enthusiasm falls away after multiple close encounters with the Titans, but it is important to note that he never actually becomes more serious.
It has also been seen that he feels frustration because he still has some difficulty comprehending new developments as they appear but this ESFP anime character from AOT finally does also come to terms with his own limits.
He also has a dislike for his lack of power, but at the same time likemany ESFPs who do tend to deal with a fair amount of insecurity, he is eager to prove his worth.
The tendency to remain optimistic in the face of problems and consistently caring for the well-being of his friends, family and village, and being willing to help in any way he can are also features that make this ESFP anime character from AOT such a typical one, and the soft spot he has for people and his emotional reactivity add to his personality type as an ESFP.
ESFP Anime Characters MHA
There are many ESFP anime characters on MHA or My Hero Academia, and one of them that everybody seems to agree on is All might, or Toshinori Yagi, because of his outgoing and open personality and his emotional tendencies in the face of problems or joy equally.
The ESFP anime character All Might on MHA often seems to take on different personas, one being his Hero or All Might side, and the other being his regular, day to day side.
Like many ESFP personalities, this MHA anime character is always smiling and confident, which is something that may be seen in many ESFPs, and he also tends to have a larger-than-life personality, which is supposed to reassure those under his care of protection.
When this ESFP anime character from MHA is in his true form, he is cheerful and optimistic, which makes him a good ESFP anime character with accurate traits.
Another ESFP anime character from MHA is Kirishima and he is typed as such because of his classic ESFP traits such as a boisterous and outgoing personality.
In addition, this ESFP anime character from MHA also has a tendency to be somewhat superficial and describes things as manly or unmanly depending on whether he likes them or not.
However, like a true ESFP, he also shows traits like being noble, brave, and a determined attitude towards his goals, as well as emotionally charged reactions like being moved to tears.
ESFP Anime Characters HxH
Here is a complete list of ESFP anime characters from HxH, or Hunter x Hunter:
- Gon Freecss
- Camilla
- Cheetu
- Cocco
- Enhancer (Nen)
- Hina
- Kanzai
- Knuckle Bine
- Neon Nostrade
- Pyon
Gon is an athletic, rustic, and friendly boy which are features that make him a good example of an ESFP anime character from HxH, or Hunter x Hunter, and he is a true ESFP in the way he is always searching for adventure.
However, like most other ESFPs, his flaws lie in his temper and impulsive nature, which are some of the most striking things about ESFPs, because their extroverted sensing function often leads them headfirst into situations they should actually avoid.
This ESFO anime character from HxH sometimes fails to think things through and such actions lead to him suffering and this happens despite his possessing talent far beyond the norm for his age.
It is also seen that anytime this ESFP anime character’s abilities are challenged, he feels as if he has to prove his antagonist wrong, which is due to the fact that he continually strives to obtain greater power, and this sometimes leads to him becoming exceptionally stronger in his anger.
Of course, as anger is not always the best solution to things, he may sometimes get stronger in his anger but Gon’s anger also leads to some extremely reckless tendencies, and this ESFP anime character from HxH often becomes irrational and completely oblivious to anything else when he is being emotional or angry.
Gon is an Enhancer, which is a type known for being simple-minded and determined and it is this determination and talent that lead to both potential allies and potential enemies trusting in him and taking his side, which is also something that may be seen in many ESFP personalities, because as stated before, these are some of the most extroverted people in the MBTI.
A true metaphor for the extroverted sensing function in this ESFP anime character from HxH is his heightened sense of smell which is almost like a dog’s, which shows that this personality type tends to be very oriented towards the external world, and often their sensory modalities are above others.
These people can also often be very observant, which is also represented in the fact that this ESFP anime character from HxH also has very good vision, as well as having a very keen taste.
ESFP Anime Test
There is no ESFP anime test, as such, but if you want to find out whether you are an ESFP, you can take the MBTI 16 personalities test, and if you already know that you are an ESFP and want to find out what anime characters are like you, you can look up some ESFP anime characters on websites like personality database.
Another great way to test which anime characters are ESFP is to go on forums like typology where people often discuss personality types and different things related to them, and there you may be able to find people talking about the ESFP personality and anime characters as well as fictional characters that share your personality type.
ESFP-T Anime Characters
ESFP T characters are those that tend to have somewhat turbulent personalities and are perhaps indecisive or more emotional than the typical ESFP personality, and an example of the ESFP T anime character is Midari from Kakegurui.
Midari is an ESFP T anime character because she tends to have rather masochistic and suicidal tendencies which shows her turbulent emotional states and this is stated obviously in one of the chapters in the manga in which she stabs her own eye with a ink pen out to pay off the debt to the president.
While this ESFP T anime character has some very impulsive and reactive emotional states, she can also be very persistent and overbearing, intimidating or being weird to the other students, as seen in the situation where she plays a sadistic game of life or death with Yumeko Jabami.
Much like many other ESFP personality types, this ESFP T anime character is also very impulsive and has little self-restraint, causing her to look more at immediate satisfaction than any long-term consequences.
It has also been seen that no one wants to play sadistic games with her, and when this happens she gets desperate to gamble with anyone and constantly awaits to ‘get off’, as stated in a chapter of the manga, by creating dangerous games where one player ends up dead.
ESFP t anime characters are also likely to be individuals who are not happy with themselves, and tend to engage in actions that are meant to make up for their perceived flaws, which may make them quite emotional and insecure at times and they may therefore act out in ways that serve to prove to them that they are not as flawed as they think they are.

Like many ESFP personalities, thi ESFP anime character also tends to be quite proud of her appearance and takes great effort to keep it up, which proves how externally oriented this personality type tends to be.
ESFPs are quite driven by sensation and feeling, and their introverted sense of intuition can make them feel quite prone to feeling great about themselves, which may be seen in this ESFP anime character from Naruto and the way she thinks about herself.
She can also be quite vain, and this shows in her behavior like constant dieting due to the belief it will make her more attractive.
Another great ESFP anime character on naruto is Might Guy who also showcases some great traits as an ESFP anime character like being the charming “nice guy”, which incidentally also shows in his typical and most well-known pose which consists of a thumbs up, wink, and winning smile.

- Pegasus: Yu-Gi-Oh!
- Kagura: Inuyasha
Galand is an ESFP anime villain from the show Seven Deadly Sins, and he is one of the oldest of the Commandments, but at the same time like any other ESFP personality, he is the most adventurous and playful.
He was unconcerned that Meliodas might be too strong for him, so he departed his allies to confront the Dragon Sin and his comrades by himself, which shows typical ESFP confidence and smartness, and it was almost successful as he nearly killed them all.
His boisterous spirit can also be seen in the incident of uncovering Escanor where it is seen that this ESFP anime villain is bemused at the bartender’s terror, and challenges him to a game in which they would trade blows, and the last person standing would win.
After this challenge this ESFP anime villain becomes an example of the Lion Sin’s strength.
Another great example of an ESFP anime villain is Kagura, who is the most autonomous and prospecting of Naraku’s minions, and roams the world on her gigantic feather under the pretense of hunting Inuyasha.
She has a very obviously geisha aesthetic, which fits into the idea of an ESFP anime villain very well, and it is seen very often that her extroversion is one of her greatest assets, and she uses this asset most to secure the independence she desperately craves.
Her role with the demons on the show is also very fitting of an ESFP anime villain, and she serves as a sort of “manager” an “older sister” for Naraku’s second creation, Kanna.
Another great example of an ESFP anime villain is Pegasus, who is a natural hedonist, and this is something that may actually be seen in many ESFP anime villains, or ESFp villains in general, because this personality type seeks pleasure more than most other personalities, and as such this type of villain will often do evil things in the pursuit of pleasure and short term goals and plans.
This ESFP anime villain appears on the show Yu-Gi-Oh, and using his vast wealth to purchase an island for the most elite Yu-Gi-Oh! players to duel on, this canonical creator of “Duel Monsters,” understands the necessity of being presentable, both in charming demeanor and elegant attire.
In a manner very typical of an ESFP anime villain, this character hides sinister menace under his proper comportment and polite laughter.

ESFP Anime Characters Danganronpa
There are only two ESFP anime characters on Danganronpa, and these are Aoi Asahina and Leon Kuwata, who both show classic outgoing and friendly personality traits of the typical ESFP.
Leon Kuwata fits the ESFP anime character category because this Danganronpa character is a passionate, hot-blooded young teenager and he often slacks off from studying and baseball practice but baseball skills were never diminished due to his status as Ultimate Baseball Star.
He is an impulsive character who hates to practice, and sees no point or enjoyment in it because he was already so talented, which shows the typical confidence of an ESFP personality, and this ESFP anime character is also naturally physically talented which is what makes him consider some very difficult and unusual feats easy.
Sometimes he has trouble empathizing with people, because the feeling function in ESFP is introverted, and he often finds it hard to associate with or understand people that lack such talent as his.
However, despite his talent, Leon claimed he strongly hated baseball and was very determined to change his current title to Ultimate Musician and he also has a tendency to complain about the several things he found uncool and gross about baseball, often without any prompting from others.
THis ESFP anime character from Danganronpa is also quite arrogant, and often talked about his popularity and dreams of being even more famous, considering himself a ‘future superstar’.
Aoi is another great ESFP anime character from Danganronpa, and she shows the typical traits of this personality type like being a warm, cheerful, upbeat, and outgoing girl who is friendly and welcoming towards everyone she meets, trying to make friends with everybody and include them in her activities.
In some ways this ESFP anime character from Danganronpa can actually be quite air-headed and forgetful, and she tends to rely on the memory trick of writing peoples’ names three times on her hand in order to remember them – a trick she also taught to her brother, Yuta.
She also tends to be easily manipulated by others and jump to conclusions or take them at face value, often being one of the few to fall for killers’ tricks and misdirection during Class Trials.

We remind you that ESFPs are full of enthusiasm and fun lovers, they do everything to be a pleasant thing. They are smart, full of humour, direct and popular, they attract people around them, they are sensual and carnal.
At the same time, ESFPs can be frivolous and risk money, they tend to be materialistic.
They do not like criticism in any way, because it is possible to take everything very personally. Life commitments can be a constant struggle for them because they take things one by one, day by day.
Do you agree with our list? If you have any suggestions of what other ESFP anime characters we should write about, please let us know!
