Identifying the common signs and indicators of stress mean that you will be able to remedy the situation quickly and help increase your wellbeing.
This may mean seeking mental health help from a mental health expert.
Some of the common signs and indicators of stress include:
- Substance abuse
- Heart palpitations
- Mood swings
- Strained working relationships
- Irrational behaviour
Depression is a common sign and indicator of stress as more often than not the depression you are facing is related to a stressful event you are going through in your life.
If you are constantly feeling depressed and don’t know who to turn to then you may want to seek expert mental help.
Substance abuse can be done for a variety of reasons including addiction but it can also be a common sign and indicator of stress as more often than note we will turn the alcohol and drugs as a means to numb the pain we are feeling when we are stressed out.
This could eventually lead to substance abuse.

Strained working relationships can be a common sign and indicator of stress as when relationships start to strain at work this is usually a sign that you are beginning to get stressed.

If you are often sensitive about whatever is going on then this may be a sign that you are getting very stressed.
If you are often irritated by things happening then this could be a common sign and indicator of stress.
If you find you are being irrational then this may be because you are going through a very difficult and stressful moment.
Anxiety can be a very common sign and indicator of stress.
If you are suffering from depression, anxiety, loneliness or any similar mental health issue then seeking help for it may be a good option.
