Cover letter examples for associates

A great cover letter is important in your job search journey as it helps your employer identify who you are and what you can offer to the organization. When writing an associate cover letter, these are some of the important things to include in your letter:

  • Address the employer with a formal salutation. For example, “Dear/Hello (name of the recipient).” If you do not know the name of the recipient, you can refer to them as the hiring manager.
  • The next step is to state the position you are applying for and how you found the opening.
  • Make a brief statement about why you’re interested in the position.
  • State your skills and work experience. Ensure your skills and experiences are similar to the job position. When highlighting skills, provide the accomplishment you have achieved.
  • Conclude your letter with a forward-looking statement. For example, “I look forward to discussing the position with you further.”

Dear Hiring Manager,

I’m excited to be applying for the Development Associate position at Innovation Advertising. I am looking for a role that will allow me to expand my hands-on responsibilities, and this seems like the ideal fit due to your organizational goals of employee independence and proactive behavior.

At Foundry Marketing, I was tasked with the responsibility of finding leads for future business and new accounts. I was able to capitalize on using social media platforms as a way to discover untapped resources. My selection process was carefully tailored to the overall goals of the business and the products and services offered by the company. As a result, client conversions increased from 22% rate to 43% rate.

I also saved the company money by reducing the amount of time salespeople spent on their own leadership development and relationship fostering with clients who were not a good fit for the company. It is estimated that conversion times reduced from an average of 15 hours to 8 hours, which equates to over $150,000 annually.

Thank you kindly for your time and consideration. My aspirations of continued career growth by using my continued education in business development skills align perfectly with the Development Associate role at Innovation Advertising. Together, we will increase sales with more efficiency to save everyone time and money and make the lives of the team easier. I’m looking forward to hearing from you and learning more about the goals of the company.

Sincerely,

Hector Silva”

Max Henderson

Hiring Manager– Aim Retail Store

85 Smith Blvd.

New York, NY, 58512

Dear Mr. Henderson,

I’m reaching out in regards to the available retail Sales Associate position at Aim Retail Store that was posted on Zippia.com. I decided to apply because I am a long-time lover of Aim’s clothing and I have over 5 years of experience working as a Sales Associate. I believe I would excel in this role because I’m flexible, analytical, and knowledgeable about the best customer service practices.

In my time as a Sales Associate, I’ve worked in three large-scale retail locations. I found that a friendly demeanor and effective communication are the biggest contributors to an associate’s success on the floor. I’ve worked hard to incorporate these skills into my work and received a 92% satisfaction rate with surveying customers in my last job.

Additionally, I’ve gathered a lot of experience working on a team and perfecting sales techniques in my former jobs. After reading through the requirements for this position, I got the impression that Aim Retail Store also values these qualities in its employees.

You can find additional details about my previous experience and abilities as a Retail Sales Associate enclosed in my resume. I’d be happy to set up a time to meet and discuss my credentials in more depth. Thank you for considering my application and I look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,

Madison Marriot
