Dear Hiring Manager,

I am writing in regard to your Nursing Assistant position at Crane & Jenkins. I am a dedicated and compassionate individual who strives to provide the best care I possibly can to patients. I’m excited by the prospect of working for a highly recognized long-term care facility like Crane & Jenkins, and I believe that my patient care skills make me a natural fit for this position.

Despite being a recent graduate of the Nursing Assistant program, I have experience working with patients in the capacity of Patient Care and Nursing Assistant. Before enrolling in the Nursing Assistant program, I worked at River Tech for three years, which allowed me to gain knowledge, skills and understanding of the needs of patients. I passed the Nursing Assistant competency exam to earn the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential.

I have experience performing Nursing Assistant duties, including feeding, grooming and bathing patients while helping them with their other basic care needs. I assist the nurses with their daily duties when needed. My compassion for patients, along with my ability to communicate well with them, has always made me an asset in the workplace. I feel that my patient-driven approach, CNA skills and desire to learn new roles will also make me an asset to Crane & Jenkins.

Thank you in advance for your time and consideration. I look forward to meeting and speaking with you so I can learn more about the position and Crane & Jenkins. I believe that face-to-face meetings can be very beneficial to both parties. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at your convenience.

“Dear Mr. Bloodsworth,

As an experienced nursing assistant who graduated from the American Red Cross Nursing Assistant Training Program, I am seeking a position with Evercare Hospital, the leading healthcare facility in Missoula, Montana. I am a dedicated and accomplished individual, and I believe I am the best candidate for this position.

I have over eight years of experience working as a nursing assistant and two years of emergency room experience, which I understand exceeds your minimum qualifications. I am adept at working with diverse patients; I even speak Spanish. This quality is especially helpful in the fast-paced environment of the ER. I am proficient at patient in-taking and obtaining vital signs, including blood pressure, heart rate, and temperature. At Mercy West, I helped implement a program to increase efficiency. I was a key figure in creating this system that got patients to see a doctor more quickly, preventing people from spending hours waiting for assistance. Patient care is my top priority, and I go above and beyond to ensure their comfort. I have done everything from taking patients for X-rays to assisting doctors and nurses with more in-depth procedures. It is easy to forget hospitals are in the business of helping actual people. I aid in bridging the gap between patient comfort and a doctor’s expertise in healing.

I am currently still on at Mercy West, but I hope to make a lateral move soon. I would be honored to work as a nursing assistant at Evercare Hospital. Please find my resume attached. Thank you for your consideration, and I look forward to hearing from you soon.
