Dr. Russ Harris wrote this book who is a medical practitioner and has expertise in stress management, it was published in 2013.
It trains coaches, psychologists, doctors and other health professionals in the use of mindfulness. This is a self-help book and is ready to read.
This book introduces ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) and helps the readers in empowering ACT.
It has been an international best-seller which has been published in more than 30 countries and in 22 different languages.
In this book, Harris explained the myths about happiness and popular ideas about it and suggested that these myths are inaccurate, and even they cause widespread experiences of stress, anxiety, and depression.
According to Harris, current psychology is actually ruining things and ultimately making things worse.
The Happiness Trap name itself means that it’s a trap, it means that more people try to achieve happiness, the more they suffer in the long term and therefore, ACT is known to be a way in escaping The Happiness Trap and is a new method which is based on Mindfulness.

The author Pasricha gives step-by-step guidelines and handwritten notes in order to explore the secrets to happiness and put them into places in order to find a happier life.

This is seen as the two-dimensional vision of happiness.
According to the author, people are more adaptive than they actually think of them, and it impacts on our outcomes in many ways.
