Often everyone feels sad or bad, but these feelings generally pass with a little time. Depression—also called “clinical depression” or a “depressive disorder”—is a mood disorder that causes distressing symptoms that affect how you feel, think, and perform everyday activities, such as sleeping, eating, or working. Symptoms must be present most of the day, almost every day, for at least 2 weeks, to be diagnosed with depression.

A mood disorder is known as depression. It can be defined as a feeling of sorrow, loss, or anger that interferes with the daily activities of an individual.

Neon Genesis Evangelion

A young boy finds himself recruited by his father as part of an elite team of pilots.

Welcome to the NHK!

As he tries to flee the NHK’s dark machinations, this surreal drama follows Satou Tatsuhiro. We have this anime show, which revolves around the main character thinking that an evil organization is secretly out to get him, and that organization is known as the Nihon Hikikomori Kyoukai, or the NHK for short. 24 episodes of the comedy, suspense, sadness, and even a bit of romance.

Flowers of Evil

Takao worships the beauty of the class, Nanako, from afar. One day after school, when he was alone in the classroom, he found her gym clothes bag on the floor. He can’t resist being able to pick it up. He plans to return it, but all the girls commiserate with Nanako the next day that some pervert has stolen gym clothes from her. Worse than that, Sawa, her classmate, secretly lets him know that she saw him taking the clothes and tells Nanako if he doesn’t make a bargain with her to do whatever she asks of him, and then their odd relationship starts.

Texhnolyze

Descendants of a banished generation fight for ownership of the decaying city of Lux in a man-made underground society. Ichise, an orphan who has become a prizefighter, loses a leg and an arm to please an angry promoter of a contest. He is taken in by a young woman doctor on the verge of death and used as a guinea pig for Texhnolyze’s next evolution. Ichise is taken under the wing of Oonishi with his new limbs, a strong chief of Organ, an organization with a certain grasp on Lux. As Ichise is drawn deeper into a battle for territorial control of the city, Ran, the young girl prophet who guides him from the shadows in his darkest moments, learns of his potential future. Ichise must discover the truth about Lux and fight for his life as he discovers his fate with the explosion of warfare.

Bokura no

A group of 15 children found a mysterious man living in a seaside cave, along with his high-tech gadgets, on a summer holiday. The man claimed to be a game developer who created a video game for him with 15 giant robots defending Earth from alien invaders and asking those children to test the game. At first, the kids agreed happily, but soon they started to find the game horrifying, not just because of its realism, but also because of their first fatality after their first win. Worse still, they had no idea how the “game.” might stop or quit.

Serial Experiments Lain

As a retired girl named Lain becomes fascinated with the linked virtual world of The Wired, unusual events begin to occur.

March comes in like a lion

This marvelous anime tells the story of a troubled boy named Rei Kiriyama, who is assisted by a group of sisters who build him up after he has broken down from a very depressing state. This episode, which was first aired in October 2016, falls into the more mature genre of seinen and drama.

Grisaia no Kajitsu

This anime is so true that “The Fruit of Grisaia” is known in English, where we have the tale of The Depressed Badass Mc, who goes to an ostensibly normal high school before he discovers that there is almost nothing normal about it. He goes through the anime aiding others around him, and along the way, he ends up making friends.

Darker Than Black

Aired from April 2007 to the end of September, we have a series that, if not seen, at least everybody has heard of. It tells the story of psychics who practice paranormal abilities at the detriment of their conscience, not just with a distraught MC but also with so many other characters. The Mc Hei is an overpowered psychic investigator, working for one of the several competing organizations fighting to open the secrets of Hell’s Gate along with his blind friend, Yin.

Your Lie In April

With very strong animations, and falling into genres such as drama, comedy, and romance, we see the troubled main character Kousei Arima battling throughout his life as an excellent pianist who no longer plays.

Sayonara, Zetsubou-Sensei

Also known as “Goodbye Teacher Despair” by another name, which best describes the emotional state of teacher Nozomu Itoshiki, who is depressed and can not cope with something negative that happens to him, otherwise, he is fed up with his life where he normally encounters many catastrophes. It is no wonder, with a teacher like this, that his students often have very intense personalities.

Kizniaver

Here’s another strong anime about the depressed Katsuhira Agata, who’s a very reserved teenager who doesn’t seem to feel pain, which makes him a human punching bag for the bullies around him. Just because he feels nothing does not mean that the people around him don’t, and when someone is connected enough that those who are connected can feel pain for one person, things begin to get interesting.

Orange

At least once, everybody has wondered how much easier their lives will be if they could tell their younger self what is going to happen and warn them to do stuff that would inevitably have a bad end. What we also don’t think of is what it would be like to obtain this data about our past selves.

Myself; Yourself

It was released in October 2007 for the first time and comes under categories such as drama and romance. We see one of the main characters becoming lonely in this anime and losing his group of friends as he moves away from his hometown. He returns to find, years later, that the friends he met before he left are not the same people they are now.

Aoi Bungaku Series

The tale of a man trying to relate to humans. The individual feels removed from everything that makes one truly human. It is a profoundly terrifying portrait of brokenness to watch him attempt to communicate, struggle, recede, and lash out, all the more frightening for how relatable it is. His life may not be like that of the spectator, but as in the original book, almost everyone can see in him a little bit of himself.

Môsô dairinin

A boy with a golden baseball bat is targeted for bludgeoning by apparently unconnected residents of Tokyo. As police seek to connect the victims, they find that the lives of the victims have changed in some way after the assaults.

Ashita no Jô

The story begins with Danpei Tange, a frustrated warrior who, losing both things, his eyesight and his double-crossed disciple, has left the rings. He lives a poor life because of them, begging and wasting much of the time. One day he arrives in a town where a vicious, deceiving, Conny and lier young boy named Joe Yabuki lives, he chooses fights most of the time as a result of stealing, cheating, and being deceptive, but his amazing agility and power during brawling/fighting captured Danpei’s attention with this natural ability that would make Joe a notorious and famous boxer in good usage, maybe one day a real champion.

H2O: Footprints in the Sand

Hirose, with a mystery cause, is a blind young male high school student. To treat his medical condition, he was sent to live with his uncle in a village. He meets some girls there who are going to change his life.

If Her Flag Breaks

Hatate Souta is a high school boy who can imagine “flags” for potential events such as “death flag,” “friendship flag,” and “romance flag.” Despite the ability to see flags, due to a trauma that he encountered in a ship submergence crash, he avoids making friends with others. Twelve beautiful girls take an interest in his odd way of life, and they start staying in the school dorm with him.

Puella Magi Madoka Magica

If they agree to become ‘magical people’ and battle abstract entities called ‘witches’, a creature named Kyubey offers Madoka and Sayaka a wish. A magical girl named Homura is, however, determined, for unknown reasons, to avoid this agreement.
