  • trembling, shaking, sweating in the affected person
  • a persistent sense of foreboding in the affected person
  • avoidance strategies

Symptoms of dissociation in this mental state:

  • going numb or blank in the affected person
  • excessive panic or feeling overwhelmed in the affected person
  • disembodied or disconnected from oneself as reported by the affected person
  • incessant worrying or screen-playing in your head in the affected person
  • dissociative states or detachment from others in the affected person
  • emotional withdrawal or shut down in the affected person
  • not feeling grounded in the affected person
  • feeling abandoned
  • cut adrift
