  1. Ask yourself, is what you’re stressing over now really going to matter 5 years from now? If not, let it go.
  2. But what you are doing is perfect. It is your life and it is the way that it should be, for you.
  3. Buy the purse, take that trip, do all of the spur of the moment things that you can.
  4. Every day is a step closer to the person that you are supposed to be.
  5. Every day you grow more and more into the person that you are destined to be. Never forget that.
  6. Every painful time will be followed by some period of happiness.
  7. Inside and out. More beautiful than you may ever be able to see yourself. Just the way you are.
  8. It’s okay to be alone.
  9. It’s okay to cancel plans and turn things down. It’s okay to be selfish and spend the night by yourself. This is the time where you get to focus on nobody other than you. You truly get to put your happiness before anything else.
  10. It’s okay to put your own happiness first.
  11. Just because someone else is doing something right now, doesn’t mean you need to be.
  12. Life is scary.
  13. Not every friendship is going to last forever.
  14. One of the hardest realizations. People will hurt you. No matter how good that you are to them. This part is unfortunately inevitable.
  15. People change, people suck and people leave.
  16. The biggest mistake we make is putting a timeframe on when things in our life should happen. Just because your friend is getting married and buying a house, doesn’t mean that is the way that your life was supposed to be.
  17. The pain will never last forever. You will be able to find joy and happiness in life again.
  18. The relationship you were in didn’t work for a reason. There is a reason that person didn’t make it into your future. Take it as a time to grow. A time to learn to love yourself.
  19. Things will get easier.
  20. Things won’t always feel as hard as they do right now. With every day, you will figure it out more. You will get the hang of this whole “growing up” thing. They will get better.
  21. Think of how many people in your life love and support you. Remember those who are always there for you. Reach out to them. Admit you need help.
  22. This is a time of growth. A time of learning what works and what doesn’t. not for a second should you think that you need to have every part of your life figured out.
  23. This too shall pass.
  24. We aren’t in high school anymore. People change. People grow apart. Not every friendship is meant to last, but you will find the real ones that will.
  25. You are beautiful.
  26. You are doing just fine.
  27. You are in your 20’s. Now is the time. Take it all in. Live your life to the absolute fullest.
  28. You are never alone as you may feel.
  29. You are not at the power of everyone around you. It’s okay to not want to do things. It is okay to put your foot down and not let people walk all over you. Be assertive.
  30. You aren’t the only one that’s terrified. Life is scary and filled with so many unknowns and up and downs. These fears make us human.
  31. You can set limits and say “no.”
  32. You don’t have to find your forever just yet. You don’t need to settle. You are allowed to leave anything that is no longer bringing you what you need.
  33. You don’t have to have your life all figured out.
  34. You don’t have to stay in a relationship that makes you unhappy.
  35. You don’t need to have your dream job.
  36. You have a long way to go in your career. This takes trial and error and learning what your passions are. Just because you don’t love the job you’re in, doesn’t mean that it isn’t helping to set you up to where you need to be.
  37. You will feel love again.
  38. You will find love again. You will be happy. This pain will subside to the point that one day you won’t remember that someone ever made you feel this broken.
  39. You won’t feel this heartbroken forever.
  40. Your past relationship wasn’t the last time that you will ever be in love. It isn’t the last time that someone will ever make you feel like that again. You are young, your life is just getting started.
