7 Signs He is in Love with You

Hey Optimist Minds!

Have you been dating a guy lately who seems really into you? Perhaps you’re wondering if he has fallen in love with you.

Being in love means desiring the happiness of your partner, admiring them for the individual they are, and feeling motivated to be a better person. When a man falls in love with you, you feel accepted and valued.

But unless the fellow realises that he’s in love and manages to communicate it to you, how can you be sure whether he feels that way or not?

Turns out, there are ways to find out. This video will describe seven signs that a man is in love with you. Recognising the signs can help you feel more secure and process your own feelings better.

We want our viewers to know that though these signs are based on common behaviours of people in love, love is very subjective. Consequently, people may have differing views on what being in love looks like.

Now, let’s begin.

One

His face lights up when he sees you.

When your beau takes a look at you, do you see an energising shift in his demeanour? Perhaps his pupils dilate, he starts smiling and feels better simply by seeing you.

Such body language indicates a rush of emotions and bodily feelings elicited by the sight of you. This kind of excitement usually comes when there’s love involved.

Two

He wants to spend as much time with you as possible.

Does your guy do everything he possibly can to spend a few more minutes with you? Suppose he has a busy work schedule that keeps him occupied all day. Despite that, he finds pockets of time to see you in-person or virtually.

Of course, there are times when both of you need some space from each other. A man who loves you will be okay with this time apart and look forward to reuniting.

Three

He does little things to make you smile.

Love isn’t as much about the big gestures as it is about the small things you do for each other on a daily basis. A huge sign that a man has fallen for you is when he starts taking care of you in little ways.

A few examples are making you coffee in the morning, replacing your old shampoo, surprising you with your favourite dessert, or cheering you up after a bad day. He’ll show his love through small but consistent acts of affection.

Four

He treats you like a priority.

You can tell that he loves you if he never makes you wait for too long. By chance, if he’s late to see you, he’ll either keep you informed in advance or acknowledge the issue and make amends.

He respects you and your time and doesn’t want you to feel less important. As a result, he’s very considerate of your needs and he makes you feel special.

Five

He can easily open up to you.

Societal norms tend to make men a bit reserved and stoic. They don’t open up that easily about their feelings. But when a man is in love with someone, he feels safe enough to talk to them.

Does your partner speak to you about his emotions and sentiments? Are you able to get him to talk about what’s bothering him? If so, then there’s a good chance he’s in love with you.

Six

He stands up for you.

When in love, men tend to feel protective of their better half. If you’re in any kind of situation where people are disrespecting you, he will speak up for you.

The style of confrontation depends from person to person. He might react aggressively to intimidate your bully or logically to reason with them. Either way, he won’t be able to silently witness others mistreating you.

Seven

He respects you.

The most important sign of love is mutual respect. A guy who loves you will never demean you or make you feel insignificant. If he accidentally does, he’ll take accountability for his behaviour and repair the relationship.

In a healthy relationship, respect looks like talking openly and honestly with each other, listening attentively, and valuing each other’s feelings and needs.

Have you spotted any of these signs in the man you’re with? Do you think he might have fallen in love with you? Let us know your thoughts in the comments. We’d love to hear from you.
